The site plan of the home is arranged such that the home is constructed on half the 100-foot circle building envelope. One quarter of the circle is a lily/koi pond and the remaining quarter circle is for vehicle circulation. The home is oriented 12 degrees off magnetic north (due south) in accordance with Feng Shui principles of site planning. With a still pond to the west, a moving creek to the east and a large moving tidal sound to the south, the house is in harmony with the land and water.

Because of the plan's relationship to the surrounding natural open space, wildlife is abundant. Deer, raccoons, owl, frogs, pheasant, heron, kingfisher, eagle, crow and a multitude of other bird life are constantly present.
