The home is heated by an electric forced air system on the main level and hot water base board on the upper levels. An enameled Danish wood stove in a central location on the main floor also provides heat. Because of the solar orientation, the mass of the construction materials and the sunroom design, little or no heat is required during the spring, summer and fall months.
